Diana was born on December 10, 1992 and lives with her large family of 10 in the Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. As a result of childhood meningitis, Diana suffers from weakness on her left side as well as uncontrolled movements.
Like so many others in Gaza, Diana's father Aziz is chronically unemployed and he has great difficulty providing the basic necessities for his large family as well as Diana's medical needs. (R95)
Mohammad was born on May 10, 1996 and lives with his large family of 13 in the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.
Mohammad was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease. His heart valves have been damaged by this untreated case of rheumatic fever and he is in need of paediatric cardiac care.
Mohammad's father Saber is visually impaired and suffers from diabetes - he is unable to support his very poor family and provide the medical care that Mohammad requires. (R96)
Sherihan was born on June 5, 1998 and lives with her large family of 10 in the Tel Az Zaatar neighbourhood of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip.
Sherihan suffers from cerebral palsy, is hearing impaired and is unable to communicate properly. Several of her other siblings suffer from medical problems as well. Last winter her house was destroyed during the Gaza war.
Her father Subhi is among Gaza's many thousands of chronically unemployed men. It is a struggle for him to meet his family's basic needs and to provide the medical care Sherihan requires. (R98)
